7 Day West Coast adventure Winter Tour |

Spend 7- days touring the West Coast seeing all the natural wonders Western Australia has to offer from Feeding the Dolphins of Monkey Mia to Whale watching in the Southwest.

Leaving Perth early we head south into the vast Jarrah forest & southern wheatbelt area towards the historic and port City of Albany. The journey takes us through the convict heritage towns before viewing the magnificent Stirling Ranges and Porongurup Ranges. We climb these ancient volcanic formations through stunning forests reaching the summit of 'Castle Rock' to take in the breath taking views, truly a photographer's delight. We continue our way into Western Australia's first settlement. Here we stop at Middleton Beach and enjoy the exceptional views of King George Sound before retiring tonight. Hostel accommodation.

The Gap/Natural Bridge/Blow holes
Tree Top Walk
Following the coastline of King George Sound we head for nearby Frenchman Bay to explore the wonderful Whale Museum (winter only). Described as Australia's first 'industry' see how the early whale hunters battled with Giant sharks to land their huge catches. The tour, then moves on to the imposing natural coastline features locally known as 'The Gap', 'Natural Bridge' and the famous blow holes. We continue on to the town of Denmark for a short break before arriving at the stunning Greens Pool. Our next stop is the 'Valley of the Giants' which includes the elevated 'Tree Top Walk' with views of the dense Tingle Tree canopy. We journey on to Pemberton, where you can take up the challenge and climb one of the famous Fire Tree lookouts (summer only). Its then on to our overnight stay, hostel accommodation & BBQ Dinner.

In the morning we set off for the Augusta/Margaret River region where the mighty Indian and Southern
Oceans meet. Its now time for some, serious whale watching, (optional extra). Boarding our vessel the 'Whale Watcher', a 50 seat luxury catamaran, we head out into Flinders Bay to witness the spectacular migration of Humpback whales moving from their feeding grounds in Antarctica. For those who are not keen on the whales, we can visit one of the vast networks of caves in the region. We then make a brief stop at the local cheese, chocolate company and Busselton Jetty, before a leisurely return to Perth arriving around 7,00pm. Tour will alter for the whale watching season. Whales that, you may see, - Blue, Southern Rights & Humpbacks. Please ask when booking.
Tonight you get to spend the night in Perth at your own leisure and a chance to check out some night life,or have an early night and be ready for you morning pick up. Dinner, breaky and accommodation not included in tour Price |

We head north to the Nambung National Park & stop to explore the famous limestone formations of the Pinnacle Desert. After lunch at one of the small fishing towns there is a chance for a swim in the Indian Ocean, or a gentle stroll along deserted beaches. We carry on our adventure through Geraldton and along the Batavia Coast, the sight of many shipwrecks (ask your guide for the stories). In season (July - September) check out the prolific wildflowers, en route to the Pink Lakes and the Ocean Gorges (Pot Alley). We stop to watch the sunset & Humpback whales frolicking in the Ocean (seasonal) and then we head for camp, which is a good time for spotting kangaroos. Tonight we stay in Kalbarri. It's a traditional Aussie Barbie tonight so a stop at a bottle shop on the way is a must. Overnight stay, Hostel, all facilities. |

This morning, we have a short drive to Kalbarri National Park where we begin the day with a bush walk to check out the magnificent views of the Murchison River - Z-bend where (time permitting) you can take a cool freshwater dip and then the famous Natures Window. We continue north to Shark Bay which takes us through station country, where we cross Meadow and Nerren Nerren sheep stations and another opportunity for wildflowers in season. Next stop is to visit the Stromatolites (the oldest living things on the planet) and then on to Shell Beach, probably the longest shell beach in the world. Now onto Denham (the most westerly town in Australia) for an important bottle shop stop before arriving at Monkey Mia Resort for the night. Other operators tend to stay in Denham but we would rather you experience a stay at the Monkey Mia Resort itself, situated right on the beach so that you can relax around the Barbie or swimming pool/hot tub. You may even see the Dolphins hunting at night for fish along the shore line. Overnight stay. Monkey Mia Resort all facilities.

We have the morning to spend at Monkey Mia to see the wild dolphins that come in shore which is a truly unforgettable experience. There is also an opportunity to take an optional cruise on a catamaran, 'Aristocat2' / ' Shotover' to see more marine life, maybe a Dugong (the legendary Mermaid Myth) as this is the best place in the world to see these magical creatures. Sea snakes, turtles and tiger shark may also be seen. We will have lunch at the resort, before moving on to one of the many coastal cliffs, where we admire breathtaking views of Shark Bay. See more marine life swimming down below, maybe a Sting Ray or a shark or two. Then it's back south to Riverside Sanctuary farmstay situated close to the Murchison River. We have a chance to explore the area with a guided bush walk. Overnight Farmstay, all facilities.

Today it's up early for our first visit to the Principality of Hutt River Province, an Independent Sovereign state to meet H.R.H. Prince Leonard. Don't forget your passport if you want a unique visa stamp. Then we make our way to Greenough Wildlife Park to meet the local snakes and if you can bare it, you can hold one. After lunch we continue our journey back to Perth arriving approx. 6.00pm. But before this we are now off sandboarding*! Have some fun surfing over large natural sand dunes so hang on.
